We are the Otago-Southland branch of UN Youth New Zealand. We are a team of enthusiastic and friendly university students who are passionate about promoting youth civic education in the Otago-Southland region and fostering leadership development for our tertiary volunteers.

We aim to provide civics education outside the traditional classroom context. Through fun workshops, Model UN, and discussion groups, we engage secondary and tertiary students in the most pressing affairs of their country and the international community.

As a member of UN Youth Otago-Southland, you would be involved in leading, creating and facilitating exciting and inclusive events for high schoolers across the region. We also aim to work towards creating events for our tertiary members.

We are always on the lookout for more members and encourage everyone to get involved, regardless of if you have prior experience with the organisation! We inspire global citizens to lead in the spirit of the United Nations - and we can’t wait for you to join our community.
