MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY OUSA EXECUTIVE MEETING HELD IN THE OUSA EXECUTIVE BULL-PEN, 640 CUMBERLAND STREET, DUNEDIN ON FRIDAY 7 JUNE 2013 AT 6.05PM

OUSA GOVERNANCE AND REPRESENTATION STRUCTURE REVIEW WORKING PARTY TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Secretary advised the meeting that if a policy wasn't passed by a unanimous vote it would then have to go for notice and then be voted on at another meeting.

219/13 THAT the ousa Governance and Representation Structure Review Working Party Terms of Reference be set.

REFERENDA POLICY BREACH
The Referendum held recently wasn't filmed or live streamed owing to three people in attendance. This was an oversight and the executive apologise.

220/13 THAT the Executive accepts there was a breach of the Referenda Policy clause 5.2 and direct the Administrative Vice President to ensure this isn't repeated.

ELECTIONS POLICY AMENDMENT
It was discussed that the policy should be amended have a choice if the forums would be filmed or not. The executive have made arrangements for one of the media departments to be in charge of filming the forums in future.

GENERAL BUSINESS
The Captain Cook Tavern - There was discussion that OUSA would like to support the idea of retaining the Captain Cook Tavern. There has been a lot of student and alumni support on local media.

There was discussion about OUSA having a web based "pledge.me" strongly supported by the President but after a long discussion it was decided not to.

223/13 THAT OUSA create a web-based platform to gather national and international support to retain The Captain Cook Tavern as a student bar.

The Otago Daily Times had printed information this morning about the UBS restructuring, Logan Edgar addressed the meeting as a member of the Board to explain that it was their internal matter and the UBS Board along with the General Manager had acted professionally and the matter needed to be confidential.
