EXECUTIVE 2024/TE RŌPŪ MĀORI/OUPISA TEAM BONDING

There was a suggestion that there be a day together to collaborate and share ideas to get to know each other.  It was suggested this should be done at the start of the year.  Perhaps a visit to Orokonui Ecosanctuary or a Marae visit.  More ideas for next year to be discussed.

GRADUATION PARADE

This coming Saturday is a May Parade and ceremony.  We need four to carry banners, leaving from First Church at 11.30am sharp.

EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 2024 PLANNING

Concern that advertising hasn’t started yet for the 2024 Executive Elections when nominations are opening on 4 September.  Please can all Exec get out there and push for nominations.  Lecture Bashing and flyer drops would be good. Emz, Imogen and Tessa have put their hands up for lecture bashing. Imogen will send out a summary of points for you all to write blurbs about your position.

It was suggested that each executive member find at least one person to stand.

There will be a letter to the Colleges to advertise the elections going out next week.

APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT ARBITRATOR

            Moved from the Chair

256/23 THAT Professor Andrew Geddis be appointed as the Independent Arbitrator for the 2024 Executive Elections and Referendum.

Amended Blues and Golds Policy to go out to the next meeting.

Te Rōpū Māori holding te reo Māori classes Wednesday and Fridays from 4pm at the Te Rōpū Māori whare on Castle Street, beginning the next semester.  All welcome to attend.  Details will be put on the Executive group chat.
