OUSA UPDATE
Last issue of Critic out for the year
OUSA survey underway but more activations needed
Clubs and Societies Building – wiring and internet being put into Clubs and Societies building.
Radio 1 green screen – live screening happening from the studio, they are being innovative and enhancing production in Radio 1. Looks great! All encouraged to have a look.
Student Media Advisory Board – the Board have advised the relationship between Critic and the University of Otago is being worked on and progressing favourably. There is a draft report out which has sound recommendations and a good platform to build on.

The Secretary notified the meeting that Connor Seddon has been appointed as the Chairperson for the next Student General Meeting.
NZUSA POLICY MANIFESTO AMENDMENT PROPOSAL
As attached. Francesca and Jack have been working on this proposal for a couple of months to ensure our national student voice has consensus around the steps necessary to reduce substance-related harm for tertiary students.

OPEN LETTER TO JACINDA ARDERN
A letter recommitting Government Contributions to University Student Financial Hardship Funds for 2021.Committing this money will ensure student stay in study.
As attached. Harlene Hayne and David Thomson assisted with accurate figures. The Tertiary Education Union (TEU) may wish to endorse this and it is believed the University Vice Chancellors are writing in support.
This letter should also be sent to the National Party as well. It was agreed the same letter will be sent with the context altered to fit.

The 2021 Pacific Island Students’ Executive elections have been held.
OUSA Annual General Meeting – 6 October at noon in the MCR. Please all try and attract students for quorum.
