Yo-yo Otago Students’ Association – consistency with apostrophe after the s’ in the title throughout the documents.
Moved from the Chair
60/21 THAT the Yo-yo Otago Students’ Association be affiliated to OUSA.
CARRIED U
Otago Arm Wrestling Club – Their AGM date too early stating August, should be September/October. Clause 11.2 stating General member not General Committee, 13.3 Secretary not Treasurer, 15.2.1 funder phrasing.
Moved from the Chair
61/21 THAT the Otago Arm Wrestling Club be affiliated to OUSA with the above amendments.
CARRIED U
Otago Student Volunteer Army – 8.5 wording/executive, 11.2 minimum rather than maximum – 30 too many – 50% quorum realistic?, 11.3 existing/current E/O, President and Vice President having to be present in all meetings, having a quorum of 30 seems too big. AGM’s – no seconder to their nominations nor motions. Amended sections not highlighted.
It was decided there were many changes and amendments to be made so this affiliation would be deferred.
Karamea left at 1.08pm and returned at 1.09pm
Otago Vietnamese Students’ Association – discussion about the visual similarities in the initials (OUVSA) to OUSA a concern. Pages 4 and 5 committee of the club – 10 or 8? Elections – no seconder noted and some minor editing in the purpose section.
Moved from the Chair
62/21 THAT the Otago Vietnamese Students’ Association be affilated to OUSA with the above amendments.
