GENERAL BUSINESS
Te Roopu Maori/OUSA get together (BYO) – tentatively planned for next Friday.
Psychology and Zoology - Otago Interdisciplinary Community will meet regularly and discuss a variety of topics of an interdisciplinary nature. At the end of the month, Thursday, 30 July 8:00pm in Abbey College Psychology and Zoology will be talking about the why the handsome Japanese gorilla is handsome. I hope everyone who is interested will pass on the word to other departments.
Bottle Buy Back – this will be held on 17 July from 10-3pm. A larger truck will be on campus to hold the bottles this time. Graham Musgrave from Property Services has been very helpful and instrumental with the disposal of bottles. This truck can hold 2 tonnes of glass.
10 cents will be handed out per bottle with a limit of 200 bottles per person. The University have generously donated $750. Nina would like to try and find more funding as this is very popular.
Te Roopu requested to be linked to advertising to spread the word.
Women’s Refuge Appeal – there is a fundraising dinner at the staff club on 17 July. Jonny Martin will notify the university and get it advertised on the University departments contact list.
Blackboard GPS – Isaac indicated this has been discussed at the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) meeting recently.
All Blacks vs Manu Samoa BBQ – this historical game will be televised live in the Main Common Room (MCR) on Wednesday at 2pm. There will be a BBQ from 1-3pm.
