NZUSA UPDATE
Keegan wanted to give the executive a general overview of what NZUSA stands for, explaining it was a national body and had been operating for a long time. Unfortunately, it is going through troubled times currently. The President and Vice President of NZUSA who advocate for all member associations resigned recently so it is in a caretaker position.
OUSA pays $45,000 per annum to NZUSA. OUSA is communicating with other student associations to try and get some resolve. There will be further updates as we know what is happening.
OUSA UPDATES
Debbie attended a two hui in the city about harm minimisation for the city. Police, University of Otago staff, City Councillors, the Students for Sensible Drug Policy group - SSDP and other organisations were in attendance. She found it most helpful.
