At the Otago University Students Association (OUSA), we are recruiting student receptionists to work in 2025. We have available positions at our Clubs & Societies Centre for casual or fixed-term receptionists, with occasional cover shifts at our Main Reception.

Being the first person to engage with patrons you’ll have a huge influence over customer experience. Furthermore, this extends to a variety of areas including events, programming, hospitality, club support and more. This is fantastic for those who love variety, want to gain or build on their experience or have a more engaging role. What we need in return is competent “front-facers” but also people who are good with admin can show initiative and have a personality to match our inclusive and welcoming persona.

Training for this role will begin early March following the recruitment process beginning in February.

Job Description 

We have a mix of available shifts from weekday afternoons until the evening and over the weekend during the academic year. There is a rotating roster that covers Friday and Saturday nights. There will also be occasional on-call work to cover for staff on leave. The length and number of shifts will vary depending on the day and availability.
