Queerest Tea Party
Dunedin Pride Festival 2018
The Queerest Tea party is a biannual event run by OUSA Queer Support, with the aim to raise the profile of queer identities and culture on campus.
All welcome to come and enjoy the delicious range of cakes, slices, tea and coffee. From 12pm - 1pm you can enter the cupcake decorating competition and from 1.15pm - 2pm we have a film screening of ‘More Than Four’.
More Than Four, created by InsideOUT, is a series of short videos speaking with over thirty members of the rainbow communities to explore the experiences of people who are asexual, aromantic, intersex, non-binary, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, takatāpui, fa’afafine, akava’ine, queer parents, and people who identify as both Māori, Pasifika or Asian and queer.
The resource aims to give localised visibility and representation to some of the more marginalised identities within our rainbow communities – providing opportunities to see ourselves reflected, and to learn about the experiences of others.
